BIG WHEEL CAFÉ

Release
2010

What does a life look when it gets boiled down to a single visit to a remote highway diner?

Welcome to Big Wheel Café – the place where we meet, go our separate ways and then meet again. The last stop before death. Life begins in the moment you set foot inside the café and death occurs the instant you leave again.

Inspired by the philosophy of rebirth and karma, actor and director Kristján Ingimarsson invites you to the Big Wheel Café. There the regulars consist of: the woman who got hit by a truck, a truckdriver with four arms and four legs, an identity confused dwarf and a ninja who just wants to be taken seriously. They all have dreams, histories and nightmares that play out over a humble cup of coffee or a lazy beer. They come here to fight the last battle against the force of habit – again and again.
